OLCF Frontier via Slate
NDIP can use Frontier supercomputer to run jobs, submitted through Slate—a Kubernetes-based platform for managing persistent application services.
Details on installing NDIP services on Slate are covered in another section. Here, we provide links to help you set up access to the required infrastructure.
OLCF User Account & Project
You'll need an OLCF account. Learn how to apply here. When applying, you’ll need a project ID, which a project PI can provide. If you need an allocation, you may need to submit a proposal, but that’s beyond the scope of this guide.
Approval can take time, so plan ahead.
Slate Access
Slate includes two OpenShift clusters—Onyx and Marble. To use them, you must request an allocation. Please follow the instructions.
Once you have access, you can begin deploying services. See the services section for deployment guidance.
